Enable support for creating irqfds which can raise an interrupt on a
Gunyah virtual machine. irqfds are exposed to userspace as a Gunyah VM
function with the name "irqfd". If the VM devicetree is not configured
to create a doorbell with the corresponding label, userspace will still
be able to assert the eventfd but no interrupt will be raised on the
guest.

Gunyah allows host virtual machines to schedule guest virtual machines
and handle their MMIO accesses. vCPUs are presented to the host as a
Gunyah resource and represented to userspace as a Gunyah VM function.
Creating the vcpu VM function will create a file descriptor that:
- can run an ioctl: GH_VCPU_RUN to schedule the guest vCPU until the
next interrupt occurs on the host or when the guest vCPU can no
longer be run.
- can be mmap'd to share a gh_vcpu_run structure which can look up the
reason why GH_VCPU_RUN returned and provide return values for MMIO
access.

Introduce a framework for Gunyah userspace to install VM functions. VM
functions are optional interfaces to the virtual machine. vCPUs,
ioeventfs, and irqfds are examples of such VM functions and are
implemented in subsequent patches.
A generic framework is implemented instead of individual ioctls to
create vCPUs, irqfds, etc., in order to simplify the VM manager core
implementation and allow dynamic loading of VM function modules.

Gunyah message queues are a unidirectional inter-VM pipe for messages up
to 1024 bytes. This driver supports pairing a receiver message queue and
a transmitter message queue to expose a single mailbox channel.

Gunyah is an open-source Type-1 hypervisor developed by Qualcomm. It
does not depend on any lower-privileged OS/kernel code for its core
functionality. This increases its security and can support a smaller
trusted computing based when compared to Type-2 hypervisors.
Add documentation describing the Gunyah hypervisor and the main
components of the Gunyah hypervisor which are of interest to Linux
virtualization development.

commit f2d3155e2a6bac44d16f04415a321e8707d895c6 upstream.
Migration mode is a VM attribute which enables tracking of changes in
storage attributes (PGSTE). It assumes dirty tracking is enabled on all
memslots to keep a dirty bitmap of pages with changed storage attributes.
When enabling migration mode, we currently check that dirty tracking is
enabled for all memslots. However, userspace can disable dirty tracking
without disabling migration mode.
Since migration mode is pointless with dirty tracking disabled, disable
migration mode whenever userspace disables dirty tracking on any slot.
Also update the documentation to clarify that dirty tracking must be
enabled when enabling migration mode, which is already enforced by the
code in kvm_s390_vm_start_migration().
Also highlight in the documentation for KVM_S390_GET_CMMA_BITS that it
can now fail with -EINVAL when dirty tracking is disabled while
migration mode is on. Move all the error codes to a table so this stays
readable.
To disable migration mode, slots_lock should be held, which is taken
in kvm_set_memory_region() and thus held in
kvm_arch_prepare_memory_region().
Restructure the prepare code a bit so all the sanity checking is done
before disabling migration mode. This ensures migration mode isn't
disabled when some sanity check fails.

commit 45e966fcca03ecdcccac7cb236e16eea38cc18af upstream.
Passing the host topology to the guest is almost certainly wrong
and will confuse the scheduler. In addition, several fields of
these CPUID leaves vary on each processor; it is simply impossible to
return the right values from KVM_GET_SUPPORTED_CPUID in such a way that
they can be passed to KVM_SET_CPUID2.
The values that will most likely prevent confusion are all zeroes.
Userspace will have to override it anyway if it wishes to present a
specific topology to the guest.

Extend our KVM "vendor" hypercalls to expose three new hypercalls to
protected guests for the purpose of opening and closing shared memory
windows with the host:
MEMINFO: Query the stage-2 page size (i.e. the minimum granule at
which memory can be shared)
MEM_SHARE: Share a page RWX with the host, faulting the page in if
necessary.
MEM_UNSHARE: Unshare a page with the host. Subsequent host accesses
to the page will result in a fault being injected by the
hypervisor.

The PTP hypercall documentation doesn't produce the best-looking table

on the same line.
Reformat the PTP hypercall documentation to follow the formatting used

If a vcpu exits for a data abort with an invalid syndrome, the
expectations are that userspace has a chance to save the day if
it has requested to see such exits.
However, this is completely futile in the case of a protected VM,
as none of the state is available. In this particular case, inject
a data abort directly into the vcpu, consistent with what userspace
could do.
This also helps with pKVM, which discards all syndrome information when
forwarding data aborts that are not known to be MMIO.
Finally, hide the RETURN_NISV_IO_ABORT_TO_USER cap from userspace on
protected VMs, and document this tweak to the API.

When running under PV, the guest's TOD clock is under control of the
ultravisor and the hypervisor isn't allowed to change it. Hence, don't
allow userspace to change the guest's TOD clock by returning
-EOPNOTSUPP.
When userspace changes the guest's TOD clock, KVM updates its
kvm.arch.epoch field and, in addition, the epoch field in all state
descriptions of all VCPUs.
But, under PV, the ultravisor will ignore the epoch field in the state
description and simply overwrite it on next SIE exit with the actual
guest epoch. This leads to KVM having an incorrect view of the guest's
TOD clock: it has updated its internal kvm.arch.epoch field, but the
ultravisor ignores the field in the state description.
Whenever a guest is now waiting for a clock comparator, KVM will
incorrectly calculate the time when the guest should wake up, possibly
causing the guest to sleep for much longer than expected.
With this change, kvm_s390_set_tod() will now take the kvm->lock to be
able to call kvm_s390_pv_is_protected(). Since kvm_s390_set_tod_clock()
also takes kvm->lock, use __kvm_s390_set_tod_clock() instead.
The function kvm_s390_set_tod_clock is now unused, hence remove it.
Update the documentation to indicate the TOD clock attr calls can now
return -EOPNOTSUPP.

Currently the OS fails the PSP initialization when the file specified at
'init_ex_path' does not exist or has invalid content. However the SEV
spec just requires users to allocate 32KB of 0xFF in the file, which can
be taken care of by the OS easily.
To improve the robustness during the PSP init, leverage the retry
mechanism and continue the init process:
Before the first INIT_EX call, if the content is invalid or missing,
continue the process by feeding those contents into PSP instead of
aborting. PSP will then override it with 32KB 0xFF and return
SEV_RET_SECURE_DATA_INVALID status code. In the second INIT_EX call,
this 32KB 0xFF content will then be fed and PSP will write the valid
data to the file.
In order to do this, sev_read_init_ex_file should only be called once
for the first INIT_EX call. Calling it again for the second INIT_EX call
will cause the invalid file content overwriting the valid 32KB 0xFF data
provided by PSP in the first INIT_EX call.

During a subsystem reset the Topology-Change-Report is cleared.
Let's give userland the possibility to clear the MTCR in the case
of a subsystem reset.
To migrate the MTCR, we give userland the possibility to
query the MTCR state.
We indicate KVM support for the CPU topology facility with a new
KVM capability: KVM_CAP_S390_CPU_TOPOLOGY.

commit 1b870fa557 ("kvm: stats: tell userspace which values are

KVM_STATS_UNIT_MAX.
Fix by pointing UNIT_MAX at the new max value of UNIT_BOOLEAN.

In the case of histogram statistics, the values are always sample
counts; the unit instead applies to the bucket range. For example,
halt_poll_success_hist is a nanosecond statistic because the buckets are
for 0ns, 1ns, 2-3ns, 4-7ns etc. There isn't really any other sensible
interpretation, but clarify this anyway in the Documentation.
Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
Some of the statistics values exported by KVM are always only 0 or 1.
It can be useful to export this fact to userspace so that it can track
them specially (for example by polling the value every now and then to
compute a % of time spent in a specific state).
Therefore, add "boolean value" as a new "unit". While it is not exactly
a unit, it walks and quacks like one. In particular, using the type
would be wrong because boolean values could be instantaneous or peak
values (e.g. "is the rmap allocated?") or even two-bucket histograms
(e.g. "number of posted vs. non-posted interrupt injections").

Add a "UD" clause to KVM_X86_QUIRK_MWAIT_NEVER_FAULTS to make it clear
that the quirk only controls the #UD behavior of MONITOR/MWAIT. KVM
doesn't currently enforce fault checks when MONITOR/MWAIT are supported,
but that could change in the future. SVM also has a virtualization hole
in that it checks all faults before intercepts, and so "never faults" is
already a lie when running on SVM.
