c1085ce849 Get rid of virtual Goal::init()
Now, each class provides the initial coroutine by value. This avoids
some sketchy virtual function stuff, and will also be further put to
good use in the next commit.

99cb85cd37 Revert "If a substitute closure is incomplete, build dependencies, then retry the substituter"
As summarized in
https://github.com/NixOS/nix/issues/77#issuecomment-2843228280 the
motivation is that the complicated retry logic this introduced was
making the cleanup task #12628 harder to accomplish. It was not easy to
ascertain just what policy / semantics the extra control-flow was
implementing, in order to figure out a different way to implementing it
either.

After talking to Eelco about it, he decided we could just....get rid of
the feature entirely! It's a bit scary removing a decade+ old feature,
but I think he is right. See the release notes for more explanation.

This reverts commit 299141ecbd.

d972f9e2e2 Split out store-open.hh and store-registration.hh
The existing header is a bit too big. Now the following use-cases are
separated, and get their own headers:

- Using or implementing an arbitrary store: remaining `store-api.hh`

  This is closer to just being about the `Store` (and `StoreConfig`)
  classes, as one would expect.

- Opening a store from a textual description: `store-open.hh`

  Opening an aribtrary store implementation like this requires some sort
  of store registration mechanism to exists, but the caller doesn't need
  to know how it works. This just exposes the functions which use such a
  mechanism, without exposing the mechanism itself

- Registering a store implementation: `store-registration.hh`

  This requires understanding how the mechanism actually works, and the
  mechanism in question involves templated machinery in headers we
  rather not expose to things that don't need it, as it would slow down
  compilation for no reason.

0c67777396 Expose the nix component in header include paths
For example, instead of doing

    #include "nix/store-config.hh"
    #include "nix/derived-path.hh"

Now do

    #include "nix/store/config.hh"
    #include "nix/store/derived-path.hh"

This was originally planned in the issue, and also recent requested by
Eelco.

Most of the change is purely mechanical. There is just one small
additional issue. See how, in the example above, we took this
opportunity to also turn `<comp>-config.hh` into `<comp>/config.hh`.
Well, there was already a `nix/util/config.{cc,hh}`. Even though there
is not a public configuration header for libutil (which also would be
called `nix/util/config.{cc,hh}`) that's still confusing, To avoid any
such confusion, we renamed that to `nix/util/configuration.{cc,hh}`.

Finally, note that the libflake headers already did this, so we didn't
need to do anything to them. We wouldn't want to mistakenly get
`nix/flake/flake/flake.hh`!

Progress on #7876

15658b259f Separate headers from source files
The short answer for why we need to do this is so we can consistently do
`#include "nix/..."`. Without this change, there are ways to still make
that work, but they are hacky, and they have downsides such as making it
harder to make sure headers from the wrong Nix library (e..g.
`libnixexpr` headers in `libnixutil`) aren't being used.

The C API alraedy used `nix_api_*`, so its headers are *not* put in
subdirectories accordingly.

Progress on #7876

We resisted doing this for a while because it would be annoying to not
have the header source file pairs close by / easy to change file
path/name from one to the other. But I am ameliorating that with
symlinks in the next commit.

36e5aa6c7d Make Goal code use abstractions over interations with Worker
Instead of calling `worker.waitForAWhile(shared_from_this())` etc.,
the subclasses of Goal instead call protected functions defined in Goal
that abstract over these.

The code for awaiting has also been heavily simplified.
Instead of calling `addWaitee`, then suspending,
`co_await await(waitees)` is called once, which also handles the suspend.

The end-goal is to remove all manual `co_await Suspend{}`s.

This broke in #11005. Any number of PathSubstitutionGoals would
be woken up by a single build slot becoming available. If there
are a lot of substitution goals active, this could lead to us
running out of file descriptors (especially on macOS where the
default limit is 256).

a4604f1928 Add Store::buildPathsWithResults()
This function is like buildPaths(), except that it returns a vector of
BuildResults containing the exact statuses and output paths of each
derivation / substitution. This is convenient for functions like
Installable::build(), because they then don't need to do another
series of calls to get the outputs of CA derivations. It's also a
precondition to impure derivations, where we *can't* query the output
of those derivations since they're not stored in the Nix database.

Note that PathSubstitutionGoal can now also return a BuildStatus.

Better diagnostics if no valid signature found
I downloaded Nix tonight, and immediately broke it by accidentally removing the default binary caching.
After figuring this out, I also failed to fix it properly, due to using the wrong key for Nix's default binary cache

If the diagnostic message would have been clearer about what/where a "signature" for a "substituter" is + comes from, it probably would have saved me a few hours.
Maybe we can save other noobs the same pain?

8a29052cb2 PathSubstitutionGoal: Clean up pipe
If there were many top-level goals (which are not destroyed until the
very end), commands like

  $ nix copy --to 'ssh://localhost?remote-store=/tmp/nix' \
    /run/current-system --no-check-sigs --substitute-on-destination

could fail with "Too many open files". So now we do some explicit
cleanup from amDone(). It would be cleaner to separate goals from
their temporary internal state, but that would be a bigger refactor.

I guess the rationale behind the old name wath that
`pathInfoIsTrusted(info)` returns `true` iff we would need to `blindly`
trust the path (because it has no valid signature and `requireSigs` is
set), but I find it to be a really confusing footgun because it's quite
natural to give it the opposite meaning.

8d4268d190 Improve error formatting
Changes:

* The divider lines are gone. These were in practice a bit confusing,
  in particular with --show-trace or --keep-going, since then there
  were multiple lines, suggesting a start/end which wasn't the case.

* Instead, multi-line error messages are now indented to align with
  the prefix (e.g. "error: ").

* The 'description' field is gone since we weren't really using it.

* 'hint' is renamed to 'msg' since it really wasn't a hint.

* The error is now printed *before* the location info.

* The 'name' field is no longer printed since most of the time it
  wasn't very useful since it was just the name of the exception (like
  EvalError). Ideally in the future this would be a unique, easily
  googleable error ID (like rustc).

* "trace:" is now just "…". This assumes error contexts start with
  something like "while doing X".

Example before:

  error: --- AssertionError ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nix
  at: (7:7) in file: /home/eelco/Dev/nixpkgs/pkgs/applications/misc/hello/default.nix

       6|
       7|   x = assert false; 1;
        |       ^
       8|

  assertion 'false' failed
  ----------------------------------------------------- show-trace -----------------------------------------------------
  trace: while evaluating the attribute 'x' of the derivation 'hello-2.10'
  at: (192:11) in file: /home/eelco/Dev/nixpkgs/pkgs/stdenv/generic/make-derivation.nix

     191|         // (lib.optionalAttrs (!(attrs ? name) && attrs ? pname && attrs ? version)) {
     192|           name = "${attrs.pname}-${attrs.version}";

     193|         } // (lib.optionalAttrs (stdenv.hostPlatform != stdenv.buildPlatform && !dontAddHostSuffix && (attrs ? name || (attrs ? pname && attrs ? version)))) {
